Shirley (Pace) Steele
Obituary
Shirley Mae Steele, a beloved mother and grandmother,
departed this earthly life on December 7, 2022 at the age of
84.
Shirley was born Shirley Mae Pace on January 25, 1938 in
Dora, NM to parents, Harry and Sibyol Pace. Shirley met and
married her best friend Robert Steele in 1975. The couple
enjoyed each other's company spending their time at local
yard sales, metal detecting and relaxing at the casino. Shirley
enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great
grandchildren.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Robert Steele,
and son Harry Mize, her brothers Edward Pace (Marcy),
William “Bill” Pace, nephew Clayton Pace and Great Grandson
Ethan Bott.
Shirley is survived by her son Randy Mize (Angela), Daughter
Amanda Pacheco (Ernie), Sister in-law Marlene Pace, nieces
Tammy Bennett, Joni Nix, Lavanna Condon, Teresa Gentry,
Leona King (Dalton). Grandchildren Jammie Mize Kemp,
Brandy Mize, Sean Mize (Brian), Lisa Ott Young (Stan), Karen
Carmon, Michelle Aguilar (Andres) and Santana Pacheco.
Great Grandchildren Auggie and Cheyann Aguilar, Malisha
and Cain Bradfield, Logan Bott, Savannah and Seth Young,
Cody Carmon.
Shirley will be greatly missed. Her family would like to thank
all who have reached out. Memorial services will be held on a
later date.
