FARMINGTON – Rita Louise Gilbert, 72, of Farmington, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at home with family. She was born November 22, 1950, in Pierre, South Dakota to Richard and Molly Harris Bramblette.

Rita was a wonderful wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was the ultimate caregiver. No task was ever too big. She always found a way to tend to the needs of her family. She will forever be remembered for her hugs, unwavering support, and beautiful smile. May the imprint she made on each of our hearts bring us comfort and guide us to be more like her. We would like to thank her for being the ultimate everything to all of us! We all love you so much.

Rita was welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Richard and Molly Harris Bramblette, sisters, Kathy Clark, and Neva Ramsey, and brother, Keith Bramblette. She will be deeply missed by her sister, Eileen Hayes, her loving husband of 53 years, Wayne Gilbert, sons, Steve and Liam, daughters, Dawn, Karla, and Melina, grandchildren, Renee, Anthony, Carissa, Sasha, Sydney, and Madison, great-grandchildren, Julian, Damion, Layla, Gauge, Khaleesia, and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on February 1, 2023, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Knudsen in Farmington with Bishop Webb officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Burial will follow at East Hammond Cemetery in Bloomfield.
