Jesse Chapman

Beloved husband, father, brother and educator. Jesse Chapman, 82, passed unto the arms of
our Heavenly Father on March 2, 2023.

Jesse was an avid sportsman. He loved to fly fish, hunt, and ski.

He was a beloved educator to many students in the Aztec School System. He spent most of
his time at Koogler Junior High molding young minds. Jesse went onto tutoring math at Aztec
dormitory and San Juan College.

Jesse met the love of his life, Mary, in Aztec and was married for 52 years until the untimely
passing of Mary in 2013. They lived a full life and worked their farm in Flora Vista, NM. You
would find Mary and Jesse working the various Farmers Market selling vegetables and fruit
over the years. Jesse loved the company of many friendships he developed over the years.

Over the past 2 decades Jesse was inflicted with Parkinson’s disease and tried to live a full life,
ultimately having to move to assisted care and finally to nursing home after his wife passed
away. He was loved by many staff members over the years at Aztec Health Care.
We would like to thank the staff at Aztec Health Care, San Juan Regional for the care of our
father.

A graveside gathering will be at Aztec Cemetery Sunday, March 19 at 2:00 pm.
