William (Bill) Northcutt Hagler was born on June 2, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William C. and Florence N. Hagler. He died on November 28, 2021 in Farmington. In June, 1954, Bill married Jean Spivey. They lived a year in Raleigh, North Carolina; two years in Baltimore, Maryland; six years in Bartlesville, Oklahoma; and five years in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 1968, they moved to Farmington, where Bill accepted a position as assistant to the president of Plateau Gas. A few years later, when Plateau moved its offices to Albuquerque, Bill struck out on his own and acquired Shell and Texaco distributorships throughout the region. He was long involved with Farmington's Public Utility Commission, on the task force that established the Farmington Civic Center, and as a Trustee at First Presbyterian Church.
He was predeceased by his wife Jean, his brother Don and his oldest son Garry. He is survived by sons Scott and Randy, and granddaughters Andrea and Natalie.
A memorial service will be scheduled in the Spring.
