Tammy Rae Wood

Tammy Rae Wood, of Bloomfield, passed from this life on December 17, 2020 at age 56. She was preceded in death by her mother, Loretta Huffman and brother, John Huffman. Tammy is survived by her loving father Raymond Huffman and his wife Chris Hampton, her beloved pets Coco, Biskit and Blackie, a son Chase Wood and a grandson Wyatt Wood of Las Cruces, NM.
Tammy graduated from Bloomfield High School and attended Fashion Design College in Texas. She was a member of St. Mary Parish in Bloomfield and served as a volunteer at Sacred Heart School. She loved football and baseball and, a truly devoted fan of George Strait, attended about 15 of his concerts, many in her wheelchair as she defiantly and bravely fought MS for more than 23 years.
Funeral Mass will be at St. Mary Catholic Church in Bloomfield, NM on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 11:00 am with Father Josh Mayer. No reception will be held due to COVID pandemic. Tammy was entrusted to Brewer Lee and Larkin.
