Ruthy Anne Locke

On Wednesday, December 16, 2020 the world lost a Mother, a Wife, a Grandmother, and a Best Friend.
Ruthy Anne Locke (60) was born on November 4, 1960 in Otis (BIC) Huerfano N.M. She was the child of Holmier Valdez and Cecelia Wero, Born for Honaghaahnii and Born to Tabaahi.
Ruthy was an inspiration to all who knew her. In her early life she was a healthcare provider for the elderly. She married her husband of 30 years Richard Christopher Locke and became a military wife. She was also a volunteer military wife for the National Guard in Farmington, NM. Later in life for over a decade she was a volunteer with San Juan County Fire Department District 11 in Dzilth-Na-O-Dilth-Hle where she was a firefighter, first responder, and enjoyed helping her community. Ruthy also loved traveling with her husband to comic cons where she socialized with so many famous friends she was a fan of. She also became a co-founder of Dzfire LLC 3D Software Company. Ruthy loved to sew in her spare time. She made masks and donated them to those who needed them such as; The National Guard, SJRMC, the Nageezi Senior Center, and many family members. She would also make handmade dresses for her grandchildren, and many other children. Ruthy had such a huge heart full of love and kindness, she never could say no to lending a hand to those who needed it. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother Frank Henry; sisters Margaret Domingo and Nita Augustine.
She is survived by her Husband Richard Christopher Locke; Sons Chad and Z Eric Locke; Daughters Vancheska Wheeler and Deshay Carey; Brothers Stanley Valdez, Paul Valdez, Johnny Valdez; Sisters Irene Augustine, Maggie Valdez, Camila Clah; her Grandchildren Janiece, Leah, Aden, Delilah, Caleb, Alaina, Zelda, Logan, Grace, and Oaklyn.
There will be a family memorial service at a later date in the spring and will be officiated by Ute Bishop. Honorary Pallbearers are Stanley Valdez, Randy Larvingo, Kevin Locke, Z Locke, Chad Locke, and Patrick Carey. Memorials/ Donations can be made to any of her children.
