Ruby "Eloise" Scott

Ruby “Eloise” Scott was born on April 6, 1934, to Arvel and Nealie Taylor in Farmington, NM. She passed away on Feb. 3, 2023, peacefully surrounded by loved ones. She was proud of her age of 88. She was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Friend.

Eloise married Clinton “Froggy” Scott on October 13, 1956, and was sealed for time and eternity. She was a loving mother to six children, who will miss her dearly, and a proud grandmother to 21 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren who will forever cherish memories of her love and guidance.

She took her jobs seriously, as a greeter at church, a poll worker, a caregiver, and operating the family business when her husband had to work out of town.

Throughout her life, Eloise was known for her warm smile and cute doodles. She loved talking on the phone to anyone and everyone. She enjoyed the beauty of flowers and hummingbirds.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, Marie Stallings, her twin sister Joyce Whitson and a grandson, Darren Tsosie.

She is survived by her sons, Neal Scott, and Norman (Printha) Scott, and her daughters, Sandra (Scott) Jackson, Sherri Durham, Beverly (Daniel) Boston, and Rhonda (Roy Valdez) McDaniel.

A Funeral Service to celebrate Eloise’s life will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, located at 10 Rd 6523, Kirtland, NM at 10 AM Saturday, February 18th. Eloise is in the care of Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E Ute St, Farmington, NM 87401.

On behalf of our family, we would like to thank the numerous caregivers that helped us with her care to keep her at home and also the staff of the Beehive 2 for their kindness, loving care, and friendship so freely given to our Mother. Thank you for your hard work and having patience with “Grandma”. Another thank you is sent to the 5th ward Relief Society for helping us with the food.
