Rita Hasenbalg

Loving mother and devoted wife Rita Hasenbalg was called home to be with God on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. She was a supportive and loving mother who never hesitated to unconditionally protect and love her children.

Rita was born in Lafayette Colorado on January 7, 1940 to Louis and Edith Brugger.

She married Alfred Eugene ‘Fred’ Hasenbalg on June 4, 1960 and to this union they welcomed six children. Elizabeth Ann ‘Beth’ Hasenbalg of Farmington, NM. Alfred Henry ‘Hank’ (Cindy) Hasenbalg of Fountain, CO; Veronica Jean ‘Vicki’ (Bernie) Topash of Canon City, CO, David William (Kelly) Hasenbalg of Westbrook, CT; Edward Louis Hasenbalg of Farmington, NM and Lydia Marie (Reid) Anderson of Farmington, NM.

She was a graduate of Lafayette high school class of 1957.

She was a devoted catholic and served faithfully to the St. Mary’s parish for over three decades.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her brothers Louis, Ron and John.

She is survived by her 6 loving children as well as 12 grandchildren and 10 Great grandchildren whom she loved very much.

A Catholic funeral mass will be held Friday November 18th at 11 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Farmington NM. The service will be preceded by the rosary being said beginning at 10:30 am

Interment will be at Green Mountain Cemetery Boulder, CO.
