Mary Jane Shorter

Mary Jane Shorter, 85, of Aztec NM, passed away on February 26, 2022. She was born in Farmington, NM on July 20, 1936, to parents, Artie Marvin Killgore, Mary Della Killgore. She graduated from Aztec High School in 1955, and married Francis Shorter October 8,1955.

Mary Jane was a home maker raising 4 children and her hobbies were gardening, she loved fishing and camping with her family. Mary Jane loved her faith working in the church teaching Vacation Bible school, Sunday school and varies classes from children to senior adult classes. Mary Jane went on a mission trip to Peru in 1979, then again to Indonesia in 1981. Mary Jane was a substitute schoolteacher for many years.

Viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday March 4, 2022 at Brewer Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E Ute St. Farmington, NM.

Funeral Services will be held at Bethel Baptist Church, 201 Heiland RD, Aztec N.M. at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022 with Pastor James Vaughn, officiating.

Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Farmington. NM.

Reception: Bethel Baptist Church after burial.
