Malinda Joy Rankin

Malinda Joy Rankin of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away on October 14, 2021.
She was born in Omak, Washington on February 7, 1952 to Patricia Dale Consol and Elmer Thomas Kelsey. Malinda started working at a young age helping her mother run a small motel and cleaning while also helping her mother run and manager a Pizza hut in Las Cruses NM. She also has had many jobs over the years, like a security officer, driver- server- shift- manager- of Pizza Huts for 40 years off and on (was one of her last jobs) - ran registers as a cashier for a hand full of convenience stores-she was a foster mother to over two dozen children and teenagers-was brave enough to get her CDL and even got to use it-worked as a carpenters helper at APS/ PMN power plant between1993-1997.
Malinda Joy Rankin is preceded in Death by both of her parents and her lovely daughter Patricia Ann Stewart.
Malinda Joy Rankin survived by her husband William Marvin Rankin of 28 years, her son Ralph Dexter Scarberry Jr, her daughter Dawn Marie Martin, husband Jason Martin, their 3 children son Jordan Martin (great granddaughter Olivia Ann Martin), son Caleb Martin, daughter Aubrie Martin. Step son Steven Gills. Grand children: Rachael Stewart, Rebecca Blade, Richard Stewart, Brain Stewart, and Eric Stewart. Great Grandchildren Aiden Stewart, Alexander Harris, Jackson Stewart, Kinsley Stewart, Bennett Blade, Baylor Blade Briley Blade, Jacob Monson and Addison Monson.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date at The Oasis.
