Loretta Veneno was born November 9th of 1954 to the late Carson and Myra Tsosie of Sweetwater Arizona. She passed away June 22nd at SJRMC. She is survived by her 3 children. Her two sons Remus Lance Tso, Arvin Willie and her daughter Regina Lynn Tso. She has 11 grandchildren Robyn Liegh Tso, Sheleeha Lynn Serawop, Kianna Tso, Mia Nicole Tso, Troysen Jean Serawop, Dharma Kyrsin Serawop, Nathan Tso, Nate Tso, and Genitha Tso, Galith Willie and Chief Willie, 3 great grandkids. Her brother Frank Tsosie and 3 sisters Marlene Tom, Charmaine Tsosie and Elvira John along with numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Loretta graduated from Aztec High School and attended college and received her bachelor degree in Navajo bilingual at San Juan College and earned her Doctorate Teaching Degree from Fort Lewis College. She began her career at Central consolidated Schools District in Kirtland NM. She's been a successful teacher for more than 20 years leaving her imprint and touching the lives of many people of our community with her knowledge and wisdom. Loretta lived a fulfilling life accomplishing many goals, one of which became a member of our local BCA pool league. She enjoyed the company of many of her friends and colleagues, whom she met throughout her life. Her love for cooking spectacular meals was always something to look forward to. She was a loving and caring mother always giving more than what she expected in return. She believed in the pursuit of a higher education and determined to teach just that to her students which made her a successful Teacher. She was an independent, happy, loving, genuinely caring woman and will be missed very dearly.
