Larry Martin
Kirtland - Larry Martin, age 63, of Table Mesa passed away on September 25, 2020 in Albuquerque, NM. Larry was born in Cortez, CO to Stanley Martin and Pauline Bone on January 12, 1957. He attended school in Bountiful, UT at South Davis Jr. High where he played basketball, and football. He attended Shiprock High School where he graduated in 1976.
Larry served in the United States Army; CLP Larry attended training at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri and became a Combat Engineer. He earned his Sharpshooter Badge and Expert Rifleman with a Grenade Launcher Bar. He served Overseas in Germany from November 21, 1976 to July 10, 1979.
December 16, 1981 he attended Utah Technical College in Salt Lake City, UT where he obtained a Certificate of Graduation in Electricity. March 18, 1982 he received his Diploma in Commercial-Industrial Electricity and Instrumentation, Industrial Electronics.
Larry enjoyed Rodeos, Pow-wows, and Gourd Dances. He loved to be out doors riding his bike. He loved football and was a true die heart “Boomer Sooners” fan. His NFL football team was Raiders. He always cherished family gatherings and his laugh and sense of humor was one of the most loved traits.
Larry is survived by his wife Linda Garcia who were together for 18 years. His one daughter Ashley N. Martin and grandchildren; One Son Derek Mute: Maddison K. Luna, Skyler N. Luna, Oliver A. Treviño and Lincoln A. Treviño. Larry is also survived by eight of his siblings, Irene Torres, Gary Martin, Jerry Martin, Wallace Martin, Della Martin, Dean Martin, Sharon Martin, Narron Martin and many more nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Larry loved and was truly loved by many friends and family. He was a kind soul, who was a strong and hardworking man. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
