Joel "Joey" Fernandez, 44, of Farmington, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, in Durango, Colo. He was born June 21, 1970, in Shiprock. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, at Cope Memorial Chapel of Kirtland. Burial will be in Rose Garden Cemetery, in Fruitland. Joey's care is entrusted to Cope Memorial Chapel of Kirtland, 458 Road 6100, 505-598-9636.
