Harold Etcitty Sr

Harold Etcitty Sr., 81, of Gallup, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2014, in Albuquerque. He was born June 7, 1932, in Lake Valley, to Nelson and Arlene Etcitty. He was born to To'aheedliinii and born for Tachii'nii.
Harold was preceded in death by his wife Violet Etcitty; son Harold Etcitty Jr.; his parents; and sisters, Vivian Shebala, Hilda Sloan and Annie E. Benally.
He is survived by his sons, Gerald Etcitty and C. Ronald Etcitty; daugthers,Vida Tsosie, Carole Etcittty-Phillips, Delilah Curley-Thrasher, Diane Curley and Nadine Etcitty; brother Albert Etcitty; Log-time companion Mary Snez; 19 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren, with one on the way.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, at Grace Baptist Church, 2200 N. Sullivan Ave. in Farmington.
Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, 1606 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington.
A reception will follow the burial in Kiwanis Park.
Pallbearers are Sage Shebala, Elijah Etcitty, Jermaine N. Etcitty, Arvin Harrison, Thomas Shebala and Harry Sloan III.
