Our beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, Glenda Samantha James, peacefully passed away July 6, 2022.
She was born to Glenn and Jannette Taylor on May 22, 1965, Cortez, Colorado Glenda taught at Farmington School District. On August 3, 2002, she married Nicky James. They shared 5 children, and 6 grandchildren.
Glenda was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She always seemed to be helping with functions and always willing to teach and share with others. Glenda touched a multitude of lives throughout the years and was a constant source of joy and gratitude to everyone around her. She always had a positive outlook on any situation including the cancer that took her final breath away.
She is preceded in death by her husband Nicky James; her parents; Glenn Taylor and Jannette Taylor.
Glenda is survived by her 5 children, 3 brothers, 2 sisters. Her children; Samantha Latner (Ryan Latner), Nicolas James, her stepchildren, Jonathan Acrey (Kathy Acrey), Alden Acrey, and Chelsey Acrey. Brothers and Sisters; Danny Taylor (Gracia Taylor), Randy Taylor (Tara Taylor), Jayson Stephenson (Shanell Stephenson), Donca Edwards (Earl Edwards), and Penny Taylor. Her 6 Grandchildren: Greyson Jackson, Hayden Jackson, Maddison Jackson, Alexis Acrey, Arianna Acrey and Gabriella Acrey. Mother and Father in-laws Lorraine James, Bob James.
The family expresses their sincere gratitude to the staff of San Juan Regional and Basin home health Hospice for their loving care during her final days.
Funeral services will be held at the LDS church, on 1310 E 25th St. at 11:00 am. Burial services will be held in Cortez, NM. at a later date TBD by the family.
Many are remembered as a saint after they pass, but Glenda was unlike most people - she lived as a saint throughout her life. Her infectious enthusiasm, humor, and love will be deeply missed by her family and all she encountered.
