George John Baugh

August 10, 1961 — February 6, 2021

August 10, 1961 – February 6, 2021
John never met a stranger and became a true and loyal friend to so many in his hometown of Farmington New Mexico. He was born August 10, 1961, son to George and Rozella Baugh and with his sister Neoma, he grew up in their family home near Brookside park and graduated from Farmington High School with the class of 1980. Like many young men in Farmington, he started his career in the Oil Field early while still in Jr. High working with his father at their family business Bauco Supply and then later R&G Company, he was well known and respected for his hard work, dependability, and knowledge in the oil fields around the San Juan Basin throughout his career, he retired with Bearcat Drilling in 2015.
He was a loving husband, caring father, and possibly the proudest Papa ever known. He loved living and working in Farmington and being with family every chance he could. He is survived by his children Daniel Baugh wife Stephanie sons Riley, Liam, Jameson, Robert Baugh, Keith Baugh wife Amber son Keith Jr., Nichole McNealy husband Danny daughter Addie, his sister Neoma Pitney husband Jerome, his niece Brandy Braun husband Andy, his great niece Jynger and great nephew Mason. He is also survived by his loving wife of 15 years Tambra Lynn (Tammi) Baugh and stepchildren Devin Murray and Dasha Murray.
John absolutely loved all his family and friends, and he was the friend you would want to have though any time, good or bad. When his health declined, he could not get out to visit as much as he loved to do, he found Facebook, and his presence on it was a blessing to all that knew him! So many looked forward to seeing his posts, he shared his love and encouragement and faith in Jesus with us all and we will never be the same without him. John’s faith and devotion to the Lord was strong and true and it gave him the strength to battle his COPD until the Lord called him home on February 6, 2021. Our grief in letting him go too soon at age 59, can only be matched by the comfort that he is with his Lord and Savior breathing easy and rejoicing with a song “This is the day the Lord has made. Let us be Glad and rejoice in it!” Amen
A memorial and celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 12th, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Memory Gardens of Farmington, 6917 E. Main Street, Farmington, NM.
