Funeral services for Elsie Skeet Natan, 92, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015, at the Birdsprings Baptist Church. Burial will be on a family plot in Red Lake Mission.

Natan died December 10, 2015, in Zuni, NM. She was born October 10, 1923 in Ramah, NM.

Natan was born into the Bitter Water Clan and born for the Salt People Clan. Natan was a member of the Ramah Navajo Weaver Association and a homemaker.

Survivors include her sons Alfred Natan, of Pinehill, Gene Natan, of Pinehill, Hoskie Johnathan Natan, of Pinehill, Elvis Natan, of McNary, Arizona, and Burton Natan, of Whiteriver, Arizona; daughters Anita Teengar, of Vanderwagen, Amy Margaret Natan, of Pinehill, Nada Currier, of Ramah, Celestina Mary Natan, of Pinehill, and Mary Magdalene Natan Yazzie, of Pinehill; 49 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Sheppie Natan, son Andrew Natan, father George Skeet, and brothers Kee Skeet and Benny George Skeet.

Pallbearers will be Brian Yazzie, Adrian Natan, Isaac O'Brian Natan, Alejandro Sojiio Natan, Brandon Aaron Natan, Christopher Robert Carrier, Arcenio Haywood Martine and Roberto Moreles Natan.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Birdsprings Baptist Fellowship Hall.

Cope Memorial Chapel of Gallup, NM is entrusted with arrangements.
