Dale Wayne Gerber, of Farmington, NM passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on May 21, 2020. Dale was born on December 14, 1951 to Curtis Duane and Donajeanne Gerber in Pasadena, California. After graduating from Valencia High School in 1970, he enlisted in the Navy aboard the USS Tattnall during 1970-1974 as a FTM3 Fire Control Technician. He was honorably discharged in 1974. In 1969, he met Lori Love and they wed on April 3, 1976, going on to have 2 children, Crystal and Jeremy. He studied Accounting at California State University in Fullerton, California. After graduation, he moved to Farmington in 1979 and landed his first job as a CPA for Barry McGee and Associates before opening his own practice in 1992. Dale was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world; he strived to provide a stable home and the raise his children to the best of his ability. He was unendingly proud of Crystal, Jeremy and Lori and always tried his best to support them. Dale was also a passionate outdoorsman and could often be found mountain biking, camping, or fishing when he wasn’t at home. Anyone who knew Dale also knew that he was the most caring father and husband a family could ask for. Dale was preceded in death by his parents Curtis Duane Gerber and Donajeanne Peterson. He is survived by his loving wife Lori Gerber; son, Jeremy (Kristen) Gerber of Farmington, NM; daughter, Crystal (Opy) Robbins and 3 children Shane, Cole and Asa all of Menifee, California and a brother, Ronald B. Gerber from Pueblo, Colorado.
