Cecil Fisher

February 5, 1939 — October 4, 2021

Cecil Leon Fisher, 82, of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away on Monday October 4, 2021, at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia (Ginger) Fisher on November 27, 2020.

On February 5, 1939, Cecil was born to Ernestine Rosa (Shirley) Fisher and Cecil C. Fisher in Oklahoma. Cecil spent most of his adult life in Farmington. He attended Lubbock Christian College in Lubbock, Texas. Cecil met the love of his life Virginia Alexander when she was an usher at Totah Theater. They were married in June of 1969 and spent 61 happy years together. Virginia supported Cecil's business efforts every step of the way.

Cecil owned and operated the Town and Country Mobile Home Park in Farmington, New Mexico. He was a very dedicated businessman. He enjoyed the outdoors with activities such as fishing, gardening and playing basketball. He was known for his quick wit and his smile. He devoted much of his free time helping others succeed through strong work ethics and Christian values. He was a devout member of Eastside Church of Christ where he found great solace after the death of his beloved wife Virginia. Cecil was a wonderful and caring brother to his sisters Linda Littlejohn and Ruth Mansfield. He was always funny, kind and optimistic. He filled our lives with joy and laughter. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 10:00 am at Eastside Church of Christ, 2012 N. Huntzinger Ave. Farmington, NM. Burial will follow the funeral at Memory Garden, Farmington.
