Carol Wade Spencer

Carol Wade Spencer, 81, of Farmington, NM. returned home on March 28, 2021 with his family by his side. He was born on October 4, 1939 to Carol Lynn Spencer and Wilma Alice Spencer in Farmington, NM.

He graduated from Farmington High School in 1958. He married his wife Kathleen Spencer on Oct 6, 1961. He was drafted by the US Army in Feb 1962 as a Single Rotor Helicopter Mechanic and was Honorable discharged after completing his time of service. He was an employee with the Farmington Fire Department, El Paso Natural Gas, and Sam's Club. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #1747, Odd Fellows, Duck Unlimited, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, San Juan Wildlife Federation and a Life Time member of the NRA.

He is preceded in death by his parents Carol Lynn Spencer, Wilma Alice Spencer; sister Nadine Hoffman, and brother-n-law Charles Hoffman; nieces Margie Corzat, Lydia Hillburn; and nephew Blaine Hillburn.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Kathleen Spencer; son Dennis Spencer (Sheryle); daughter Melissa Spencer; brother Sherron Spencer; sister Nelda Getman; grandchildren Jessica Finch (Tyler), Adam Spencer; nieces Abby Atencio Fitzpatrick, Cammy Reeves, Patty Salazar, Connie Hoffman; and nephew Rusty Hoffman.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home. Graveside service is open to family and friends and will be at 10:00 am Friday, April 2, 2021 at Greenlawn Cemetery with Regan Tafoya officiating. Pallbearers are Dennis Spencer, Adam Spencer, Johnny Howell, Tyler Finch, Paul Dorsett, and Eugene Felker.
