Farmington

Amadeo Segura, 85 years young, passed away peacefully to be with our Heavenly Father on Christmas Eve, 2022. He was born on his family’s ranch, San Miguel, in Cuba, New Mexico to Carmel and Teodorita (Lola) Segura on August 25, 1937. He proudly served his country in the US Army from 1963 to 1967. On June 28, 1964 he married Crucita Chavez in Abiquiu, New Mexico. They made Farmington, New Mexico their home and raised a family. He made a career as Lead Welding Foreman and served the San Juan Basin for 40 years. He was well known for his strong work ethic. Besides spending time with his family and friends, Amadeo had a passion for gardening and creating metal art. He built numerous gadgets that he generously gifted to those who visited him. He enjoyed outdoor cooking and made a mean brisket in his cast iron dutch oven. He had an energetic personality and was an entrepreneur at heart. He touched many lives with his generosity and helpfulness. A born humorist, he filled the room with laughter. If you asked Amadeo, his greatest accomplishments were being a Father and especially being a Grandfather. He deeply loved each one of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Amadeo joins his parents Carmel and Lola Segura; his sisters, Della Romero, Marcelita McNeely, and Ester Carabajal; his brothers, Jose Segura, Nick Segura, Johnny Segura, and Frank Segura and wife Rebecca Segura in Heaven.
